PAINT A GOUACHE ROSE WITH ME

In this half hour video tutorial, we'll be painting these beautiful, fluffy, small scale roses that I found growing near my house. I've mixed them with dark burgundy leaves for high contrast.

I'll show you how to paint on coloured paper with acryla gouache, creating layers of contrasting translucency and opacity. I'll also demonstrate one of my favourite techniques of adding a gouache as a final step. It's a super satisfying way of laying colour down quickly with maximum impact - especially as the colour of the paper shows through, enhancing the impression of depth.
